Liu Qiming

Liu Qiming is Cross-media artist, Curator.

He is a distinguished artist, curator, and nonprofit organization manager from China. He graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1995 and taught in art colleges at Chinese universities from 1995 to 2006. From 2006 to 2017, he worked as a professional artist in Beijing. In 2017, he immigrated to the United States through the EB1A Extraordinary Ability program and is now based in New York, engaging in independent art creation and nonprofit organization management.

From 2017 to 2024, he operated the sustainable Non-profit arts organizations NYRCA project, which focused on social intervention, exhibitions, and international exchange. In 2022, the project received funding from the “Creatives Rebuild New York” art fund. In 2024, he was appointed Artistic Director of the U.S. Golf Art Foundation, where he continues to shape and guide the Foundation’s artistic direction.

His work spans performance, installation, video, and painting and has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across multiple countries and regions, with over 100 art institutions and private collectors acquiring his pieces. His notable works include Sensitive Words, Buying American Lottery Tickets for You, 5·12, and 272 Days and Nights for You, which explore themes of historical memory, contemporary society, and the ultimate expressions of human suffering and the struggle of fate.
