roberto zambiasi

Born in January during a period of heavy snowfalls, I was captured by this white layer that covers every flaw, drawing enchanting shapes. Since I was a child, I’ve used to go out to watch the flakes falling down, that’s why snow inspired a lot of my works. Inspiration for my art comes also from nightscapes with faint lights, streetlamps, moonbeams or simply lights of cars passing by. I often capture pictures during the day and turn them into nightscapes on canvas. My paintings aim to create atmosphere rather than realism.
I’m currently living and working in Bolzano (Italy).
